Kindred is a shared workspace in Mangawhai Village, tucked into an orchard on Moir Street. It’s a place to do focused work, connect and meet good people.
Whether you’re remote, self-employed, freelancing or running a business from your laptop, you’re welcome here. Drop in for a day or make it your regular office. Bring your work — we’ll bring the coffee and community.
Coworking at Kindred
A desk, great internet, and better company. Choose from casual day rates, weekly plans or a permanent desk to call your own. Rates start from $35 for a casual day, with discounts for monthly memberships.
Book the Meeting Room
Our meeting room seats up to eight (or ten at a pinch!) with french doors opening out to the orchard. Book by the hour, half day or full day. You’ll find a whiteboard on the wall and a small screen for presentations.

Don’t need a desk but still want in? Join our community for member events and workshops, the Kindred network, and discounted coworking when you need it. A great way to stay connected to the professional and business community.
Orchard to office
Kindred is set in a private, established orchard in a quiet corner of Mangawhai Village. The space is light and warm, with standing desks, soft seating, a kitchenette stocked with tea and coffee, and french doors that open straight out to the garden.
It’s a real workspace — ultrafast fibre, quiet when you need it, social when you want it. You can switch between a desk, a standing spot, the soft seating area, or a beanbag under the trees. Some days call for heads-down focus. Others call for a conversation in the sun. Kindred has room for both.
We’re open Monday to Friday, 8:30am–5:30pm, with 24-hour key access for full-time members.
