hot desk
If your laptop is all you need to get to work, hot desks are for you. You can choose where you sit each day - switch between a normal desk, a standing desk, the soft seating area or even a beanbag under the trees in the orchard.
permanent desk
If you like to have a space to call your own, or if you want to personalise your workspace with screens, a permanent desk is ideal for you. You are able to set up your desk how you like it, and leave everything there ready for the next day. We will provide you with a lockable drawer to keep sensitive documents secure. As part of your membership, you’ll also have ability to use our address for mail.
Tea, coffee and kitchenette
We have two kitchenettes (with bar fridges) and all the business fuel (aka. coffee) you need. We supply a range of teas and french press coffee, and you can either bring lunch in or enjoy the local cafes down the road.
Networking and events
Starting and running a business is equal parts rewarding, challenging and exciting. Working remotely can give great flexibility, but can feel a little lonely without the camaraderie of the office environment.
It’s important to connect with people who understand and relate to the journey you’re on. Being able to share knowledge, celebrate wins and give support when needed is a huge bonus of the Kindred community.
We want to foster this community further through events and workshops throughout the year. Some will be open to the public, and these will be great opportunities to meet other local businesses in our area.

24 hour access
For those on a full week and six month term, you’ll be provided with a key for after hours access. If you want to start a little earlier, work a little later or pop in on the weekend, you are more than welcome to.

This deserves a heading of its own! Kindred is set in a private, well established orchard in a quiet area of Mangawhai Village. It’s a beautiful space to work and still feel connected to the outdoors.

This is a great place for a casual meeting with clients, or to just take a break from your screen and relax. We also have a casual outdoor space to enjoy the sun and surrounding garden.

Rates
Prices are exclusive of GST. We offer special rates for spouses and employees - please enquire. A key is provided to weekly and permanent members on a six month term for after hours use. Casual hours are Monday - Friday from 8:30am til 5:30pm.
Casual day rate
$35 per day
$30 per day on a six month plan (paid monthly)
Perfect for those who want a distraction free space to focus every once in a while, or those visiting Mangawhai for just a few days. You’ll have access from 8:30am - 5:30pm, and can enjoy all the tea and coffee you want while you’re with us.
Three day week
$65 per week on a six month plan (paid monthly)
$75 per week on a casual plan (paid monthly)
This is ideal for the remote worker, the part-timer or parent who has kids in daycare or kindy three days per week. Choose the three days that suit you best, bring your laptop and settle in for a productive day.
Full Week
$90 per week on a six month plan (paid monthly)
$100 per week on a casual plan (paid monthly)
If you need a full time space, this plan is for you. We’ll be your office away from home; a creative and vibrant place to get focused and be around inspiring people. You’ll also be provided with a key on a six month plan.
Permanent Desk
$130 per week on a six month plan (paid monthly)
This plan is the perfect bridge between working from home and leasing your own office space. You get the professionalism of a space to work and meet clients at a fraction of the cost. You’ll receive a desk to call your own, a lockable drawer and a key for after hours access.
